Where Dinosaurs, Science & Discovery Come to Life
Become a junior paleontologist in Fossil Lab, a hands-on STEM adventure where students discover how fossils are formed, preserved, and uncovered after millions of years. Through exciting experiments and fossil exploration, participants learn how scientists piece together Earth's prehistoric past.
Students investigate fossils, identify ancient species, examine layers of sediment, and discover the "recipe" needed to create a fossil. Along the way they'll learn about erosion, fossilization, volcanoes, and the forces of nature that help reveal fossils hidden beneath the Earth's surface.
The program concludes with an exciting volcano eruption experiment that ties everything together while demonstrating how volcanic ash can play an important role in preserving fossils.
Designed for elementary through middle school students, Fossil Lab can be customized to fit different grade levels while keeping every participant actively engaged through hands-on learning.
